1. Basic Concept
Crownball is a dynamic four-player court sport where each player defends their own 'House' and aims to rise through the ranks by outplaying opponents.2. Court Layout
The court is a rectangle divided into four equal 'Houses': King, General, Sergeant, and Rebel. Lines are called 'Lanes' — if the ball or foot touches a lane, it’s a foul.

3. Equipment
Played with a custom Crownball gloves (or bare hands), and Crownball ball (or a Volleyball ball) on grass, clay, wood, acrylic or concrete surfaces. Any part of the body may be used to strike the ball.4. Starting Play
The King serves first, targeting either the Rebel or Sergeant. Initial returns must go to the General before open play begins.5. Rally Rules
The ball must bounce once in the receiver’s House before being returned. Rallies continue until a fault or failure occurs.6. Fouls
Ball Out, Ball on Lane, Leg Out, Leg on Lane, Siege, Invasion, and Rotation Violation.

A Siege is when a player returns to the “KIng” for 3 consecutive times during a rally. It makes the third strike invalid and the player loses a point or gets relegated to “Rebel”.An Invasion is when a player returns the first serve of a rally back to the “King”. The return is invalid and the player loses a point or gets relegated to “Rebel”.Rotation Violation occurs when two players return the ball back and forth with each other for more than 30Secs in a rally. Each player gets penalised by losing a point each but maintains their positions.

7. Scoring & Rankings
The striker of the last valid ball earns 1 point. The losing player is relegated to Rebel; others move up. Rebels who lose again lose 1 point.8. Round Duration
A round ends when a player loses a total of 5 points from the position of being a Rebel.
Bonus points are shared to players based on their positions at the end of each round. King +5, General +3, Sergeant +1, Rebel 0.9. Game Duration
The game ends after four rounds, by which every player has had a chance to start a Round in each “House”. A 5-minute break is observed at the end of each round before another round begins.10. Winning
The winner is the player with the highest total points after all rounds and bonuses.11. Surfaces & Adaptability
Playable indoors or outdoors, with adaptable formats for 4 players, or 2 in less professional settings.
